Ok so here are my results from last weeks Ard Boyz tournament. Unfortunately I didn't write anything down for batreps or take any pictures but I'll get the hang of this eventually.
So on Saturday I strolled down to the local hobby shop Brothers Grim (full writeup on them later). We had about 30 players for the Ard Boyz. Small number for the store but more on that another time. :)
My list is here.
Game 1 was the 5 objectives and had me paired against my old buddy Dave playing his Dark Eldar.
His list looked somewhat like this:
Archon on Bike
Reaver Bike squad
Wytche squad
3 Ravagers
Dracon w/Incubi
Mandrakes
2 Webway Portals
About 5 Raiders with Warriors
Result was game ended on turn 4 with me holding 4 objectives and he holding none.
Result: Massacre +1.
Game 2 was old school Victory Points and I was playing a Blood Angels player named Matt.
From what I remember this was his list:
Reclusiarch w/ Jump Pack
Captain
3 Sangiunary Priest - Foot, Jump Pack, Bike
2 Tactical Squads in Rhinos
1 10 Man Assault Squad
1 5 Man bike squad with Attack Bike
1 10 Man Devastator squad with 2 Lascannons, 1 Missile, and 1 Plasma Cannon.
Game ended on turn 6 with a draw. Lost my Crusader to Meltabombs, and immobilized my Redeemer driving through terrain. D'oh!
Result: Draw + 2.
Game 3 was the one I was worried about the most. Modified kill points and I was up against a local, and rather skilled Eldar player, Bill.
His list was:
Eldrad.
Yriel
Striking Scorpions
2x Fire Dragons w/ Wave Serpent
10 Wraithguard
10 Pathfinders
2x Jetbike Squadrons
5 Dire Avengers
Falcon
Dark Reapers
3 WarWalkers w/ 2x Scatter lasers
He reserved almost everything and his dice just shut off. He only got 3 KPs while I got 17. MVPs were the Librarian who stopped Eldrad from casting 2/3s of the time and the Sternguard who took out 4 Wraithguard in shooting and 2 more in Hand to Hand.
Result: Massacre +4.
So there it is. I came in 3rd scoring a total of 57 points. 2nd place was a friend and fellow Salamanders player and 1st was an 11 dread Blood Angel list.
